Stay away from this bunch!,
To be fair, Lifeproof makes a well designed case. But, when it comes to these accessories? They’ve completely missed the mark.
Accessory clip mounting instructions are vague. Showing pictures as a descriptive part of the instructions is fine but give no indication the clips need to be removed in a certain order. If you choose the wrong order, you break the clip.
The actual accessory clip functions for both the Hand strap and the Neck strap. The neck strap is fastened by attaching locking hooks to a loop of string that is incorporated into the accessory clip. The hand strap is attached to the accessory clip by means of a locking peg that is difficult to attach to yet makes much more sense than the single point of failure the string loops create when hanging it around your neck.
The string loops also create a hazard for those using solely the hand strap as they hang from the sides of the case and could potentially snag a moving object if the case were used around moving equipment. The user is forced to configure the accessory clips in this manner whether they have any intent on using the Neck Straps.
They couldn’t add an extra set of clips minus the string loops for those of us that plan on exclusively using the hand strap but, were forced to purchase both in their accessory bundle.
And to make matters even more frustrating, I attempted to communicate all of this information directly to the company using Lifeproof’s own contact page. After spending a half an hour composing my message to them and hitting “submit”, I was promptly told that my e-mail had not been sent yet and perhaps I should try one of the following solutions:
“No solutions available”
I was then given another opportunity to “Submit” my message to the company. The web page responded by deleting all of the information I’d just spent a half hour composing and indicating I’d not entered anything into several fields on the entry. So I have no idea if the message was sent. But I know my message to Lifeproof is now crystal clear:
It’s going back… All of it.

|Awesome!,
Love the shoulder and hand strap. Installation was easy, just follow the instructions. I don’t know why another person gave this such a bad review. I thought the instructions were very clear and easy to understand. I had no problem installing both straps. I highly recommend the case and straps!!!

|Pass On This! Product Failure. Bad Customer Service.,
I’ll make this quick because majority of the faults are already covered in other reviews.
The problem I had was with the palm strap. It is adjusted to your hand size by hook and loop straps. These hook and loop straps are just glued on the main palm strap. I went to adjust the strap and the adhesive failed and the hook and loop separated from the palm strap. I emailed them but the email on the web site does not work. I called Lifeproof customer service. On hold for 21min. Talked to a gentlemen (I think his name was Mattias or similar) and explained the problem. He put me on hold for a few min. and got back to me. He stated that he had to find a replacement and wanted my phone number to call me back. I chuckled and asked him two times if he swore and promised to call me back then gave him my number. He insisted that he would. That was the last time I heard from Lifeproof. In addition they have my name, order number and email address.
Now I’ll say something nice. I do like the case and like the measures they have taken to burn attempts at cheap Chinese counterfeit crap. I would stay far away from the accessories.
